For the beginning I bought some used blocks from ebay. On this one I milled to deep. To save the block I tried to fill up with colored acryl. The result is locking perfect.
Butcher block with wood inlay
This is the first block with wood inlay. After a lot of tries on pieces of crap, to find the right engle of the V-Bit for the details, I´m total happy with it. I seel it with wood butter to protect it against water. But a stand was missing.
Stand
the stand is made from 4 mm Acrylic and sanded with 800er sandpaper
